EQ-i 2.0®: World’s Leading Measure of Emotional Intelligence

The Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i 2.0®) applies decades of research to support effective leadership performance and development. This instrument measures the interaction between a person and his or her environment, then presents results in both numerical and graphical form. Unlike IQ, EQ skills can be learned and improved upon over time, with top performing leaders exhibiting higher scores.

The EQ-i 2.0® is an online self-rating assessment tool, which takes approximately twenty minutes to complete. It provides a detailed assessment of areas of strength and areas for development. The EQ-i 2.0® model is comprised of 5 overarching composites (self-perception, self-expression, interpersonal, decision-making, and stress management) made up of 15 specific competencies. These competencies are highly correlated with inspirational leadership, innovative work cultures, highly-effective teams, and engaged and committed talent.

The power of this instrument is in how the individual feedback is applied through action planning with the EI feedback coach. The comprehensive report and professional debrief highlights how EQ competencies work together for effectiveness.
